Be a part of our network

To become a Network Participant, you will be asked to take the following steps:

    1.    Fill out this Form, or send a text to Tom Gustafson at his cell phone number (954 661-7848) or possibly to his designee(s) after the initial 600 network participants are recruited, so you can: i) express your interest in joining the Network; ii) ask any questions you might have; and, iii) provide the Network with your contact information (i.e., name, cell phone number, and street address where you are registered to vote).
    2.    Go to the Donation section of this Network website and make your one time $100 initial contribution and the $24 annual contribution (i.e., a total contribution of $124).
    3.    Accept and make use of your own “first&lastname@FFNINC.org” email address for use in all Network-related communications and activities.
    4.    Agree to: i) attend one or more Network meetings each two year election cycle; ii) help distribute high-quality, original, thoughtful, timely, trending, topical, truthful, entertaining, educational, engaging, uplifting and motivating (HQOT5E3UM) video content throughout the election cycles; iii) recruit additional Network participants; and, iv) urge your friends, family members, acquaintances, and neighbors, especially in the last few weeks of the election cycle as to those registered voters who are not Network participants, to vote for one or more candidates being supported through Network activities and thereby collectively pursue highly targeted, innovative, and massive “get out the vote” (GOTV) strategies.

The Network , once the initial 600 network participants are recruited, will:

Be invited to meetings scheduled around the state in at least three of the six (6) Network regions over the first four months of 2024 and at every Network region to be scheduled thereafter every week or so through the remainder of the 2024 election cycle and throughout the 2026 election cycle. Every fourth meeting will likely be a zoom meeting or conference call. The Network meetings will: a) help introduce Network participants to each other and to Network officers, Board members, and personnel; and, b) film reactions by Network participants to shared and unifying concerns, policies and programs and to the U.S. Senate candidates in 2024 and other candidates in the 2026 election cycle.

Elect two Network Regional Directors from each Network Region by a vote of the Network participants who live in each Network Region so that such Network Regional Directors will, with the Network Officers, guide Network activities consistent with the Network Goal and Objectives. See “A Florida Friends Network Précis” as revised from time to time.

Be provided the opportunity to distribute Network videos to friends, family members, acquaintances, and neighbors that educate and advocate for a better Florida and the election of Florida officials, regardless of party affiliation,  who will seek to implement the solutions to the most serious problems we face (e.g., protect our republic; grow a prosperous economy for all: and, reduce risks arising from climate change).

What does it mean to be a friend?

We want to put in the work to restore the dignity of Florida politics. Network activities and crowdsourced tasks include attending network meetings, advocating for better policy outcomes, helping to distribute Network videos regarding Network concerns, policies and programs and the opportunities and obstacles to implement solutions that will improve conditions in Florida., and GOTV communication with nearby voters to elect officials who seek progress instead of simply stirring the pot.

Our Process

We use an interview process to confirm you will be a good fit as a Network participant, and then request contributions for ongoing Network operations: a one-time initial contribution in the amount of $100; and a $24 as an annual contribution in each calendar year. For just two dollars a month after the initial contribution, you can help create real change in the Sunshine State.

As a poly-partisan, self-governing, self-funded, common-interest, non-profit 501(c)(4) social welfare organization where Network participants are dispersed across the state and diverse in every way, the Network activities will be guided by 12 elected Regional Directors and four officers who are selected to join the Board to assure all Network participants that: i) the Network Goal and Objectives are timely and lawfully implemented) ii) Network participants and Floridians are well-informed as to shared and unifying concerns, policies and programs in the context of our collective desire to improve conditions in Florida; and, iii) Florida’s political leadership is focused on finding and implementing solutions, based on verified observations and data, best science, and reliable expert advice, which address our most serious problems and help to improve conditions in Florida.
